Hello there,

I have a 9zap WC series.

My issue is that when I bought the radio back in 99 I enter a password which I forgot and now I can't change the user name to something different.

Can yhou assist me on this ?

Best regards

p.s. Your videos about Trex are SUPERB, excellent job. Do they apply on my RTF?

If you forgot the passwrod then the ONLY way to reset it is to send it in our read my instructions for entering service mode!

Bob,
First of all, thank you for all the technical videos you had posted and this thread. I have a Futaba 9Z which I would think will need some servicing soon due to age (7-yr old).

I have a question in the instruction as to how to pull up the service menu for the 9Z. It says to connect pin 2&3 to 7 then power ON the Tx. Do the pins have to be held this way (connected together) until I am done with the service menu; or, are the pins need to be released after the service menu is displayed?

Thanks,
Rico.

Based on what Bob said, it seems as if the pins need to be held connected so as they don't accidentally emit a pulse upon disconnecting.

I see. Now I understand. Thank you 'jonphilli' for your input.

Rico.

Yes they need to be held the entire time!
