Is it possible to truel have the mcx hover and not sway. It seems like every flight is different. Some flights she hovers in front of my face, other times she'll sway almost like just the slightest breeze from a heater or hallway sucks it in or pushes it away. :badair:

u answered your own question...a small breeze, from what ever heater or fan, will take it away...thats why their strictly indoor, it needs more weight and power to take the hit of a change in current.

as for why it works perfect then not might be cause the batteries getting low and you need to trim according to the power the motor's are putting out. so the next time u fly its not trimmed for full power

its an ever changing beast, thats why i learned not to get frustrated with its actions from flight to flight, but tweaking after every so on is good for it

Ever feel like the MCX does not fly well, fly an Havoc Heli (Piko Z in some places) Then you will be singing the MCX praises again.

but ya some flights are golden, some are slop. I don't know how much of it is me, and how much is the heli. ( I do know that the lamp in the middle of my living room has it in for my MCX. If I could figure out how it seems to attract my MCX, and magnify it by a thousand, I could market it to homeland security. ;) )

Ive just bought my mCX and it it amazing
TIP...
If you fly under 2 feet you get the ground effect but if you fly above that it hovers like its on the ground
My mum and dad are starting to get annoyed with me now because all im doing is flying in and out of rooms
it rocks :Bang

Thanks everyone for their feedback. And nugget012, you're so right about the middle of the flight being the most stable. That bad girl hovers like a champ around the 4 minute in to the flight mark. Also have been playing with the screw on the sway bar and have noticed some different effects as I ad adjust it. I also read a post about leveling the swash plate.

What effect on hovering would this have? How about FF? :cheers

All I had to do after leveling the swash, is re-trim to add a little aft, and she hovers nicely as before. FF was a little improved, but at the cost of some aft flight.

Yeah she's increadibly sensitive to outside airflow...I've flown her a few times out back when you couldn't even feel or see any wind...YOU COULD feel it when you flew her though! Too bad she doesn't have any blade pitch ability!
