View Full Version : How to Track Upper Blades Correctly

I have noticed my upper blades are not even close of tracking correctly, and this may be the cause of all my vibration problems with the MCX...

I have tried the bigger heli technique, i have add small weight to the blade running higher, but i cant make that blade to track, and if more weight is added to main shaft will shake very rough !

How do yo track you upper Blades? i think my flybar is balance since it doesnt go to one side or another, but how do i know if my flybar is not balanced ?

Thank you

Hi Alf, the adding tape trick is for blade balancing.

What you would like to do is change the pitch of one of the blades so that it tracks in the same path as the the other blade.

Changing the pitch of one blade on the mCX is not possible.

Here is what I did, I swapped out one blade with the spare blades I have on hand, until I found a pair that tracked closely.

you can also twist one of the blades.....I painted one blade tip white....so I could tell which one was high and/or low....

Then twist the other blade to increase or decrease the pitch until you get them both to run in the same plane or close to it....

Takes a while but it can be done by twisting
