I've never put one of these cans together. Sounds simple, Glue the 2 parts together!
Just want to do it right the first time so post how YOU guys put yours together if you don't mind!

I used Goop and a lot of spring type clothes-pins to hold it together.
I trim the seam after the glue is dry.
I do all of the painting on the inside before gluing.

By trimming the seem after the glue is dry I am assuming you mean you don't do any cutting whatsoever until after it's glued together??
Won't that leave an uneven surface at the seam??

I rough cut the parts 1/8 to 1/4 inch oversize, glue it up making sure the the inside edges are aligned, and then trim the seem to the final shape.
