I use a HDX300 CNC tail assembly. This tail assembly is very smooth and slop free with ball bearings for the many moving parts. You can get them at cnchelicopter.com. You will have to build up the HBK2 boom because it is only 8mm OD. The HDX300 has a 9mm OD boom. I built it up with scotch tape and has no problem with it.

Hi, regarding the K2 tail box, it doesnt come with an xtra roller on the top to hold the belt down like the "Belt CP" or "Copter X", for getting an upgrade, is it better to look for something that come with that xtra roller or it doesnt matter at all ??

Hi,
I have tried several CNC tail upgrades and the one I have found most reliable is from Align.
To use the T-Rex 450 CNC tail with the HBK2, you just have to get an Align boom.
There are dozens of CNC and tail booms available on Ebay.

I think the booms are of different diameter,if U use the Trex boom & the Trex tail box,no problem, but how do U insert the boom into the body ??

Diameter is exactly the same, therefore straight forward application.
Keep in mind that belt lenght is mandatory, so you won't be able to use stock boom.

Trex boom is 12mm diameter, King boom is 8mm diameter!

George is correct on the tailboom sizing. I have seen a CopterX 450SE tail used on a K2. Wish I could find the post over on RCG. They used a couple pieces of cut tailboom as a spacer to make up the difference. From what I read it worked out nice.

Did anyone tried the CNC / Microheli head or tail assy ? Microheli parts are expensive but heard that they are  quality. CNC parts are a bit cheaper than Microheli. Any comments out there ?
A complete metal tail assy for Copter X is about $25, too bad it doesnt fit the K2 by direct application.

I put a post on RCG. I used a Copter X tail on mine. I adapted with a Trex 450 boom. I posted back in Oct. 2008. It is in the King v2 Upgrades and Mods Thread. I use tape instead. I believe it is on page 284, starting with post #4259. Keep on reading the other few posts that follows #4259 to get ideas.

Try going to www.cnchelicopter.com (http://www.cnchelicopter.com) look at both belt cp and what they call honey bee cool something, turns out to be for the king2.
I've gotten some of their stuff and it is the best cnc stuff I've seen.
They even have a 4 blade rotor head for our bird!!!!!
I'm thinking of gettin one just cause its so cool..

Hi Auto, I use the Microheli head for the HBK2. It is more expensive but it is really nice quality. It fits perfectly without any issues that the CNC head has (there are posts about the difficulties of the CNC head). I purchased some parts in blue and some in silver. I can post pictures if you like.
