Default Rewired the 450.

Hi all. Was raining today so I spent the am going through my neglected Trex450's wiring. This heli is coming on to its 1st year. It was my first heli and the one I've learned and crashed with most. I've gone through 5 heads, 3 sets of lower frames, 1 complete frame set, 3 sets of gorrilla gear and who knows how many blades and main shafts. It was flown flybarless with a gu-365, my own modified fbl head and a Outrage G5 flybarless head.

It's been a good heli so after a recent boom, main/feather shaft, main-shaft bearing, flybar and blades rebuild I decided it was time to untangle the wiring.

Nothing spectacular just ease of maintanence after a crash.

Looks good Rev.
Redoing the 450 inspired me to rewire my 550.

Thanks for the comments. Looking forward to flying it about 6 hours from now.

Good-looking helis, JaggedEdge and Rev.

Jagged... why did you revert the 450 back to FB after experimenting with FBL?
I have heard of many people experimening with or going FBL but have not heard much from them afterwards. Specifically, this is the first time I see someone reconverting a heli to FB after flying FBL.

Not wanting to hijak the thread, just interested in your thouhgts on this.

Good job JaggedEdge! How do you rate the G5 head compared to stock?

For a short time I had 2 450's one FB, one FBL. I crashed the crap out of the FB one so I combined them. When I combined them I picked up an outrage G5 FBL head. I never got the heli to fly right with the G5 FBL head and GU-365. With my own modified FBL head it flew great. I never swapped back to the head I converted, decided I wanted an SK360 for the 450 and sold the GU-365. I converted my G550 to FBL using the SK360 but stilll have to pickup a second SK360.

The 450 was a lot of fun FBL. I'm looking forward to doing it again.

Its the Sonix G5 copy which doesn't have the mixer arms on the grips making it basically the same as an Align V2 head. For $70 its awesome.

Real nice layout diverjack. Aluminum bottom plate looks great. I never tried plates until my 500. Hope to get one for another heli when the new version 450 comes out.
