Now that I am running V Bar on my 600 I find it a little to touchy around midstick for my liking. I want to add some EXPO on RUD, AIL and ELEV.

What do I set? I see I have 3 positions 0-1-2 so I can choose the amount of expo per flightmode but do I set a positive or negative amount, and what amount is a good starting point?

+ amount dampens your inputs around center. %20-30% is a good starting point, then adjust to your feel/liking.

OK thanks, I also read that on the tail the dampening was reversed so - is that correct?

OK thats answered some of the problems I have been having setting uo the DSX9. I do not use the flight switch, is there any way of setting the expo to work via the 2 switches marked DR on the front of the radio, the way you do it on a DX7.

One way is to enable the extra two flight modes. The get assigned to one of the D/R switches and you can set expos differently in the extra flight modes.

I'm not sure if there's another way.

OK found the answer. When you go to DR / Expo settings you get Pos- 0 Pos-1 Pos-2 where you set up your desired DR and Expo. On the right top of the screen there is also Auto. Norm: INH ST-1 INH ST-2 INH. If you leave there all inhibited (INH) then the switches control the DR / Expo only Pos-0 and Pos-1 work and this relates to the position of the switch. If however you enable NORM ST-1 ST-2 then the DR / Expo workes through your flight switch. Finless has a great vid on how all this works. Why could they not have just put this simple explanation in the manual !!!

Which video is it that he shows this in? I watched the Dual Rate Video & the Expo video and he alludes to showing this after the break...but then the Expo video ends and I haven't found the next one in the series as they seem to be listed alphabetically in the sticky.

These 2 videos are part of a series for the JR770 gyro. I did the dual rate and expo 101 videos to explain it as part of the JR770 gyro setup since the 770 gyro manual tells you to use them. Thus I felt I needed to explain what dual rate and expo are first.

So dual rate and expo tells you what they are. The JR770 gyro setup video explains HOW to set them up in the radio using the X9303 or DX7.

Go here to the JR770 gyro setup vidoes and in that post are links to videos on HOW to setup dual rates and expo for the DX7 or the X9303.
