Guys
I am in the process of rebuilding the Tempest and and have a few questions regarding T/R GB assy:
The manual states that the output shaft is an assembly, unfortunately I have to assemble it from piece parts, what are the critical factors regarding the distance between the bearings?
How critical is the shim between the rear bearing and the gear, ie should it be a close press fit between the two?
Without stretching the bounds of international cooperation, what would be the best way of re-assembling the output shat to ensure correct meshing of the T/R gears?
Thanks for your time and regards
Peter
