I made this from a med size Hulla-Hoop and the fiberglass rod from a kids bicycle flag. (Toys-R-Us) like $15. Works better than any thing I bought.

I've been using the HoolaHoop gear for a couple years now. ( to help newbies, I've been off the training gear for a while now! ) I've trained a bunch of new guys with it, without the gear failing yet. I've added a fifth dowel across the X, and screwed the ends of the rods to the Hoop with servo mounting screws. It has been abused pretty good, and still going. Much better set-up than the old wiffles and wood dowels.

Seneca has been warned. We want him around but we are also dedicated to keeping our topics on track and enforcing our rules. We don't have a lot of rules, but the ones we do have will be enforced The management of this site votes on everything we do. Once the vote is taken, the results are 99% final.

Hi all, I made this gear for my heli out of four car aerials and four ping pong balls works a treat. :D
