JR Switch Setup Question

I have a JR 2610 radio and want the "trainer" button on the radio activate a servo. I have it currently on the "gear" channel and activated by the AILE D/R switch (toggle).

My question is - is it possible to have the trainer button set to do this - and if so, how do go about achieving this.

I use the 2610 (known as the 6102 elsewhere)

You can only assign channels to switches Left and right front and the two D/R switches. You set this up in your system menu (Power up with Scroll and Enter depressed)

I have my D/R settings combined on my Aile D/R (Right) and then the Elev D/R (Left) assigned the Gear Ch, Throttle Hold Left front and FlightMode Right front.

You may be able to re-wire the Elev D/R and Trainer Switch... but I would recommend against it.

If you want an open/close reaction out of the servo, like for depressing a camera button, you will want to build a servo linkage system that has an elbow that has max depression in the middle of the servo and min on each endpoint, then when you change the channel switch the elbow presses a button and then releases it again... have not seen something like that though...
