Where Can I buy the Actro 32-3 motor cooling fan. I am using the motor on my Ion-X, one of the fan blade is broke. Shall appreciate anyone's advise or suggestions.

Rick they fly awesome, however after 4 minutes of flying there was a somekindof lock down and I hard landed it :arggg: and broke the fan blade. But the sound was awesome.

BTW Rick let me ask you a question as you are also flying Ion-x, what would a UBEC voltage read if you test it with a load tester? Exactly 5 volt ? or less than that, after that hard landing its showing the value ranging 4.5 to 4.9, did i messed up the ubec also ?

You could probably just cut off the rest of your fan, from 135 flights on my 32-3 Ion-X, I have found that the hottest it has ever run is about 110 degrees, and the fan is not needed at all.

less then 5volts i only run5.1 duralite regulators wiht a small 2cell lithium packs that way you get a full 5.1 volts all teh time

Flying the V'S you have to manage collective well or things get hot quick
i thiink we found a solution to this as iam going to try some V's this week

Hi!

Are you sure you need that fan?

I fly the same motor on my Joker 2 with 12S, no fan and greeeaaaat power.

What kind of gearing's do you have on the Ion-X?

Below is the calculations on my new Joker 2 gear ratio of 11.6:1 instead of 9.6:1, which resulted in a 20 deg C temp drop with the same 1900 rpm on the rotorhead.

---------------------------------------

The secondary spur gear is always fixed with a gear ratio of 14/67 =

4,79 : 1

The primary belt drive gear ratio can be changed by changing the motor belt pinion.

With the 17T pinion the primary gear ratio was 2:1 and with the 14T pinion the gear ratio is now 2,43:1

4,79 x 2,00 = 9,6:1
4,79 x 2,43 = 11,6:1

With the same rotor rpm of 1900 rpm, this results in an increase of the motor rpm from 18.200 rpm to now 22.000 rpm.

Side effects of this new gearing is a temp drop of 20 deg. C from 100 deg. C to 80 deg. C after a flight, plus more torque and HP available from the powertrain, plus a more efficient powertrain I would guess.

His V-Blades are 690mm. I do not think you will have any heating issues with them.. I ran 710 V-Blades on mine for a while with the stock 9.5:1 gearing and really liked them with that. I have since gone to the 10:1 ratio and it seems to have the amp draw back to like it was with the 700 MAH G2's and 9.5:1 gearing...
