I'm planning to buy the Century Predator Carbon Gasser SE from Rick's shortly (next week or so). I've been checking the forum, but thought I'd ask what else I should consider for the kit. I plan to buy it with the 23cc engine instead of the 26cc engine. I also plan to add the rudder conversion kit to mount it up front.

For electronics, I have a Futaba 9CHP radio. I may use a PCM Rx, but may have to use a standard PPM Rx instead. I plan to add a Throttle Jockey Pro, Gasser sensor, and 401 or 611 gyro with accompaning digital servo on the tail (not sure which or if I should choose another). I'm not sure what servos to use on it yet, so suggestions are welcome.

I plan to start with Coleman fuel and synthitec oil. But from what I have read, breakin is best performed with the stock muffler and regular oil. Suggestions/Clarification here is very welcome.

Break it in with Lawnboy ashless. I have been running 2.5 OZ synthetics with no problems have a peek at this (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7602552192126289646).

Century V2 pipe even on breakin. I run 9252's with no problems. They are working on 6 volts as well without any issues so far, Not saying that is the best thing to do just what I am doing. Go with the 611 gyro for 3D flight. Colman and 2 to 2.5 oz is working for me as well. Check Vid section for the vid of my pgasser with Beast at the sticks. 6.92 gear ratio as well for hard flying. 13 th. pinnion and 90 main gear. Have to order them seperate unless ricks will box it that way for you.

How many rpm you have in your rotor head?

The 6.92 gear ratio works well for 3D flying with the 231. I will have to get with God ( Bill Meador ) and see waht he thinks the 26H should run with.

6.7 is the lowest you want to go with the 26...6.42 to 6.7 is fine for 720's or 710's.
700's run the 6.42 or 6.28....
I'm going to try out the new version of the 26 Al from Hanson is making soon...He says smoother running above 12 grand...We'll see:) Otherwise stick with those ratios till I test one, and keep the engine rpms low...

Your fine with that running the stock ratio....The stock ratios do better for the 26..
As long as it smooth, and your happy, then run it:)
