I find that when the 12z is selected to use 1024 encoding, as used on 149dp rcvrs, that only 8 channels can be used ? is that true?
The ATV and function screens stop at the 8th channel. The manual seems to confirm this. If this is the case that really bites as I have many 149dp's in use that I need that 9th channel on.
waiting to find if this is true or I am just outsmarted by the radio to really let the abuse fly :bomb:

With the latest software update I thought I read that the 14 would output 10 channels in 1024 PCM, I would think the 12 should do the same.
The 149DP is a 10 channel RX.

Yes you are right on the 9z and the 9c there was no atv adjustment on ch9. However ch9 could still be assigned to a switch and reversed. Very usable for an on/off type function (Landing gear etc).
On the 12z there appears to be no acces to ch9 parameters, it is unusable. 149dp is only 10 channels with modification , Correct ?. Fact is I need to use channel 9 and none of the futaba advertising says is is not usable with the 12z. In fact I can find several spots on the futaba-rc website that says it has full 9 channel 1024 capability.

9th channel is DG1 (page 2 on the Function menu on the 14MZ) ... on or off, no ATVs, etc. It's mentioned on page 55 of the 12Z manual.
