My heli seems to want to piro to the left i have checked my linkage thats fine. I have adjusted my Gyro sens on my radio (JR9303) which is at 100% i used raptor technique to set that up so i turned it down and it got worse. I have used right rudder trim and that seems to help sometimes but then the heli will piro right every now and then i guess you can say the problem comes and goes. Now i did notice that my gyro was turned just a little to the right on the heli but i dont think that would cause it because it not like its way out of wack. is there anything else i can look for?

Are you initializing it in HH Mode. THe light should be solid. Make sure you don't move the heli or the rudder stick until it is inialized. YOu should be able to take all the subtrim and trim out of the rudder and fly it in HH mode.
BTW.. Make sure you don't have any revo mixing active.
The angle of your gyro should not matter.
If this is not a new gyro I would be suspicious of the servo.
Also what kind of tape are you using?

Have you tried switching the switch back and forth 3 times between AVCS and Normal Mode. This tells the gyro to have the same neutral position between AVCS and Normal.
At 100% gain your going to overwork the servo and cause it to fail fairly quick.
I would suggest check the mounting tape for the gyro. Sounds like it may need changing. It does not matter which way the gyro is mounted as for it being twisted.
You should not have to use any rudder trim.

using the tape that came with the gyro i know there is no revo mixing in. now i went back to raptor tech to see if i missed something. It had my trvl adj at 100% for right rudder and 90% for left can this cause / solve anything.
and i made sure i let the gyro initialize because i thought i might have bumped it when i turned it on.

The ATV ( Travel Adjustment) on the rudder channel doesn't do anything but control the pirouette rate when using a GY gyro.
The physical travel of the pitch slider is adjusted on the gyro by a pot. You can only adjust the overall travel range and not each direction on the GY 401.
Here is what I suggest.
Center the rudder trim and subtrim if there is any. Make sure they both are neutral.
Now put the gyro in Normal mode and hover the heli.
Mechanically adjust the linkage on the tail rotor till the heli will hover straight without any rudder input. It is not drifting right or left.
Now that you have that completed, sit the heli on the ground. Flip the switch back and forth on the radio that changes the gyro between AVCS mode and Normal mode. Do this 3 times real fast. Now put the switch in AVCS mode. Hover the helicopter. It should not drift. If it is drifting, then I would suspect a vibration induced drift.

very possible about vibration i have the training gear on and i noticed that the heli does vibrate alot i will try removing the training gear just about time for that anyway. then if that does not work i will try the adjustments you suggest.
thanks

Also an overy rich engine will cause gyro problems as will low head speed which equates to low tail rotor authority.
Measure from the center of the servo arm screw to the center of the ball link screw in MM and let us know how far out you are.

it appears to be 15.40mm im using the jr9303 and i have the 401 setup on the gyro channel. im thinking about moving it to the gear channel only problem is i have no clue how to setup the radio in that config since i use raptor tech to setup the 9303 and 401 in the first place and RT had it setup on teh gyro channel
