Well i was just building my 700n and i found that i cut the fuel tube going in to the tank to long and had to take it back out. on the reassembly part i pushed the grommet and plastic connector into the tank and lost them forever.:arggg:
so im just wondering if there is a way to get them out when they are together in the tank.. but i just bought 2 more tanks with hardware just in case i do it again:lol:. and another question here can i use the outside plug instead of the inner one for the fuel line or is that just a plug hole for nothing:dontknow. well any advise is appreciated:noteworthy.

I've pushed mine in a few times changing cluck lines. The best way is grab some long neddle nose pliers or a pair of hemostats(roach clips:smokin:), and if you can seperate the nipple end from the gasket, it will make the job a lot easier. Then just turn the fuel tank until the stuff gets close to the opening and grab the little bugger. They should just slide out. And if not just ad some fuel or silicone to them to make it a little slippery.

Hope that helps.

Just be patient and you'll get it out. I pushed mine in a couple times. I'm not sure why there are 2 holes in the tank. The point of using the inside hole is that its in the center of the tank! So the cluck reaches both side equally. Speedbmp is right, a little fuel on that grommet makes life a lot easier!

Gill4321,

jratliff is right, the point of using the middle hole is so the main tank clunk reaches both sides. After seeing a buddies fuel magnet break apart and him taking out the tank, I opted to go with the outside hole and a header tank. I'm glad I did because during the build I forgot to soak the Hayes fuel line in fuel, and it expanded and hit the rear of the tank after the first flight.

I did the same thing but the plastic connector was not on mine, i used a wire hanger to fish it out. you can try dripping some dishwashing liquid on it and get needle nose pliers to grab connector and push rubber with a screw driver to seperate and can hook rubber and pull out.

I pull my clunk off almost every time lately.

Take the blades off if you have to, I don't bother I do this so much.
Take the heli where you can splash fuel. :YeaBaby: Try to shake fuel away from heli.
Shake it to the hole and rest the skids on something heli nose down.
Gently persuade it out being careful not to damage it with long needle nose.

Gill4321,
You can purchase the part you describe seperate from the tank. It's called HN6083, Fuel Tank Accessories 600 Nitro (http://www.readyheli.com/HN6083_Fuel_Tank_Accessories_600_Nitro_p/hn6083.htm)

I have both the 700 and 600 and have used this part interchangebly between the two.

I did the same, was a pain to change the clunk line everytime. So I also opted for the ouside hole and a header tank. I can still fly the main tank totally dry with the header tank almost totally full.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the issue ? I have taken out my clunk line without needing to remove the tank and had no problems in doing so.
Have only done this once due to the need for cutting the clunk line. Assume i dont need to go in there any more for a long period (when the OMI is to be changed)

I use the outside hole as well. No issues. The 600 tank is of similar design and it's hole position is also on the end.

The clunk can be pulled out either way, but i prefer to make things easy for myself.
