Has anyone tried out the collard Trex 600 screws on thier 700? They don't stick so much like the 700 screws. They all fit the same.
I don't know why they are less sticky on the fram but they are.:smokin:
Try them out, it's nice not having to dremel your screws out.

I had the same problem with the 600 screws. So I just went with the Liron washers. MUCH better.

600 screws are deeper allowing the allen to get more bite. The 700 screws are very shallow and rounded on the inside. It's not that they are any less sticky...you just get more torque on them.

Mine were probally less stick because i used them off my 600 and the had some residue left over from flying.
I try to replace the 700 screws whenever i feel that one is going to strip soon.

I understand that they're all the same screws and any differences that you're seeing are just due to batch to batch variations.

I have ordered 3 batches of 600 screws as replacements for my 700 and I have yet to come across a 600 screw that is the same as the 700's. If they are in fact the same...then every 700 that was produced came with a variation that has a shallow head. At some point it has to go from a variation to an actual difference...I suppose it's up the the individual to make that distinction. I for one am calling them different. You are more than welcome to call it a mass variation.

In fact, the difference in these screws is night and day. The one on the left has a slightly bigger opening and is shallow. The one on the right (600) is tighter and deeper. The 600 screws are just better, period.

Thanks. I was hoping that preceding my comment with "It is my understanding that..." would make it clear that I wasn't trying to argue. Apparently didn't work. ;)
