Guys, I know you are only meant to charge Duralite Batteries with a Duralite charger but....... ; supposing I wanted to charge a 4000 mah 7.4V (square) Duralite, would I just set 'LiIon' on the Prodigy II - 4000 and 7.2V then press charge?

I've heard these chappies can catch fire if charged at the wrong rate, which would certainly spoil my day!

you could do that but you'd undercharge the battery.

I had the Prodigy and now have the Multiplex 5014 and they're all the same.

The 'older' LiIon batteries were 7.2 but through manufacturing improvements & changes,
they are now 7.4 (and soon to be going up again from what I hear).

I use the LiPoly setting on that charger noting that the target voltage is 7.4

There's no magic.
