We put a survey out on www.flymha.com earlier this year asking the following questions about the Maryland Helicopter Association Fun Fly being held June 1-4 this year:
1) Do you want a real dinner at the FF Saturday night? (other than Pizza)
2/3 of the people said yes, so we will be serving a real meal with Bar-B Q sandwiches, potatoe salad, and cole slaw. And some kind of desert.
2) Do you want more big dog pilots at this event? :D
82% said yes. So... You are coming right??? In all seriousness, this year promises to be the biggest and best yet. We've got more great pilots coming this year than any other year.
3) Do you want more contest like events? :?:
This was split 50/50. So... We will have one "beginner" event and one "expert" event. And of course a plaque for best crash if you don't do well on the above.
We're also going to have dedicated novice help and set up. We have a dedicated flight line for hovering only with six pilot stations.
And we're going to have dedicated experts helping with electric helicopters, so bring them!
The field will be open at 0800 Friday morning. This is a full three day event, so come early and stay late. If you are a night flier, bring your night blades!
We're all looking forward to seeing everyone at the event :)
