looks just like the heli-chris and freakware conversions both of with are in the 59euro range but I dont believe they come with a swash driver.

The freakware blade conversions are silver colour not black , the swash driver comes at extra cost. The freakware balls do not sit in line with the centre of the main shaft which is a pita, I am interested to see how the Mikado will sit

I just hope someone posts a set up file for the T700 because it's all pretty confusing at the moment.
I'm going to get the T500 going with the V-bar first to try and learn what all the many settings actually do in the software :D

Just have to look around... here's mine (http://www.helifreak.com/showpost.php?p=1141342&postcount=39) tweaked from MrMel's setup.

You can also look here (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=52192) or on the VStabi website (http://www.vstabi.de/) under the forums/questions page. Take someones setup and see how it works for you. You could also use one of the preset setup included with the software.

I finally got some stick time on those extensions I got from you awhile ago...it sure took some time for work and good weather to coincide up here in the mountains. I had to totally start over on setup with the new geometry but they worked out well. Was tinkering around with settings at the field and forgot to put the gyro back into flight mode. It took a half a tank to figure out what I had down as I was flying FBL with no stabilization!!!! After figuring out my gaff in hindsight it wasn't that bad. Well atleast not as bad as people have made it out to be to fly FBL without stabilization...just alot of drift in hover and some balloning in FFF, even autoed it in OK. I wouldn't ever want to do it again but it was reassuring to now know it can be done and I bet with the right setup you could fly a rather nice scale/sport style without stabilization..BUT DEFINATLY NO 3D!!!

Just saw your post and wanted to share this little experience. Thanks for the grips!

Thanks, I will give those a try out when I get the head and another Vbar unit. What servo horn is everyone using on the Vbar set ups, I understand they have to be about 22mm overall, is it a case of drilling out my quick UK servo horns or is there something that will bolt on with no drilling?
Using 8915 (8917) JR's on mine.

Got my head parts through yesterday.
The usual high quality mikado stuff :D
It's such a shame they didn't make the swash driver like this on the T500 conversion so that you can use the AR pins from the head block to line it all up.
Now I just have to save up for another Vbar unit or maybe wait until V4 is out...

Quick uk 28 mm wheels is perfect,

I've noticed that the picture of this upgrade on the Readyheli website shows trailing edge control.

Is this just a mistake or does the 700 run with trailing edge control as apposed to leading edge?

Thanks

It should work either way. But I configured mine leading edge. The only thing about making it leading edge is that the blade grip lock nuts will end up on top instead of the bottom.

Leading edge control also means that the swash moves in familiar patterns, i.e. up for positive collective, down for negative, etc. For me, that's very important for convincing myself that the pitch/roll gyro corrections are set correctly.

hi tooly

which servo horns do you use?

which is the best for the push pull ?

ore some pics of your servo arm combos?

TooLy

I'm the align black arms for JR servos with the stock holes.
Working great.

i have read at many board that some people make smaller arms the align has from hole to hole 28 mm

smaller is better some has a set up problem with too much cyclic !

i build a rex and install the mikado kit with ac-3x now i have to check whats the best servo horns for a good servo resolution!

they made the pushpull Linkage shaped like a v > for better servo resolution!

I will check this issue.
Mikado doesn't say anything about this for the 700.
In their 600 conversion, they say to use 21mm arms.

runin full wheels will make that pitch huge..

hi

what are your facts?

pitch and cyclic`?

when i install a ac-3x i need this small horns 8mm to get pitch +-12 an 7° cyclic

i have the mikado flybarless kit!

or do you make cyclig ring goes very small with the big servo horns?
