Finally got Wesley's 550 in the air.
We'll be trying a variety of power system set ups. First flights are with a Neu 1907/1Y/H and some very tired batteries.

No less than 2 Eagle Tree loggers! We'll be posting lots of videos and graphs as time goes on.
Had a little mishap today, motor died while inverted....hope it wasn't ESD. After we pulled the canopy, we found the power wire unplugged from the ESC. Don't know if the crash pulled it or it was loose, causing the crash.

If your using Castle ESC be sure to set the voltage cutoff to the lowest value. Put graphite spray on the belt.

We have been using CC ESC's for 2 years and own 5 of them....so we've learned all the tricks. :YeaBaby:
Will pick up some graphite spray just in case....

I ordered some Graphit 33 2 weeks ago from Germany...no show so far.
I have done the wiring mod, but not to rx, I have continuity where needed and a static brush( fine stranded wire fanned out brushing the main shaft and tied into the motor mount. I used a soft graphite artist stich and rubbed the belt...sop far not a glitch...Oh yea, I spit when a black cat crossed the road in front of me on the way to the field....That should do it.
Looking forward to the videos of Wesley flying.

That's funny...
Yea Wesley is a really good pilot. I've seen him grow in the last year quite a bit. It was really cool to see him fly center stage at IRCHA.
