Thanks Rick, if there is one thing I have plenty of around here, it's plumber's goop. I use it for literally everything and probably have enough on hand to take care of everybody in the forum.
PS: I did promise you that if I liked it I would let everybody know it.

you can put the ltg-2100 under the boom of the trex 450s , it fit perfectly without gyro support like rdholrs's

Hello from Italy,
first of all I'd like to thank Finless for his wonderful job, I started hely adventure watching his videos and I'm constantly improving my skill by his support.
This is the way I normally install Gy401 on a TREX 450 SE, I created a plate in fibreglass (the one used in electronic circuit) and drilled two holes on the plate frame.
I hope this can help.
Bye, Rocco

I have noticed that the SE V2 has a slightly different shape so that you can mount the gyro underneath, am I able to dremel the frame of a V1 so that it is the same as a V2 which would provide a smooth mounting spot for a gyro?

You can. You would need to flip your boom block so the align symbol will be upside down. You can dremel your frames but most people just buy one of my mounts to avoid messing with the integrity of the frame. They are cheap and work great. Besides, it helps me offset crash costs! :arggg:

All posts seem to be towards the TREX but I ordered Ricks mount for my mini titan and man did it fit perfect and took about 10min total to swap from on top of the boom (I had it there for set up) to under the boom. There is a lot of room for the gyro in the bottom portion of the frame but since i am a noob and this was my first build, my extra wiring takes up that space. Nice product Rick and i appreciate the cost savings for parts when i bring it in to mamma earth.

Music to my ears! Thanks man!

Does anyone have an idea how to fit a g500T ring gyro under the bottom of a t-rex? I've thought about putting it where the receiver goes but is there an extention you can buy? I don't want my receiver to be ripped apart in the first crash:(

If thats an SEV1, my SE mount should work. If its a V2 or has a plastic boom block, my SA mount should work. Tell me which one you need and I'll ship it right out. If it works, you can pay me. If it doesn't, I'll figure something out.
Rick
My heli is like finless's without the metal parts. This is an X/XL/SE heli.
The at the tail is fine, but I don't know if there is some sort of way to fit a larger gyro than the 401 on the t-rex.

Snap a shot of under the boom block for me please. That will tell me what mount you need. Also, please post the dimensions of the gyro.
Rick
Here is a pic of the bottom, and size comparison.

OK. My SA mount should work fine. Just PM me your shipping name and address.

...the gyro sense axis is parallel to the main shaft. ....
I have mine just at the back. Normal spot but I didn't grind the frame to where it sits level so it had like 3 or 4 degrees tilt - maybe more - to it. Since it's not "sensing" the axis, maybe that's why I have the tail wag problems I have had for a while now?
I think this may solve it if I get the mounting plate and it's able to sit level

Another guy mentioned the gyro being next to the carbon frames.......that MAY cause interference.
Oh, I was going to ask you and might as well here.
I have the T-Rex with the blue everywhere. Pretty sure it's the SE. I'm guessing I have to get the Super Frame mount for the gyro?
I just want to make sure I order the right one from you

Sounds more like an SE V1 or SE V2. If its a V2, you don't need a mount. If it's a V1, you need an SE mount. Post a picture and I'll tell you.
