Gyro on the bottom has saved me on one crash already. Not so luck with the tail servo even though the boom shielded it somewhat. Do I need to put the gyro on the bottom on a 500? In the build videos, I see it on top.

Here is what people have been buying from me. They put the gyro on top and the receiver underneath.

This one is on ualdrivr's bird. It's pretty sweet!

Pardon my ignorance
I'm still unsure if I mounted my gyro correctly.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

It looks to be oriented correctly. I'm not sure if that bird is prone to paddle strikes. I'm also not sure if you have any better options to protect it.

RICK!!!!!

Thanks so much for my mount. It's working GREAT!! NO MORE TAIL WAG!!! Greatly appreciated.

I have to say, the gyro on top, reciever on bottom mount is looking pretty good.....

Now, to finish my creation, I just need to get some Spider Gear
