Tried my Twister again today. This time I allowed about 20 seconds for the Gyro to initialise even after getting the green Led lit and I only connected the plug with the heli on a level surface and guess what..... I had to hold some LEFT stick, plus full left trim to keep the tail straight. This is opposite to my previous tail hold problem.
Its very perplexing. I can only suspect that it pulls right because I adjusted one of the set screws on the 4 in 1 last time to unsuccessfully get it to stop pulling left Now the 4 in 1 is apparently ok again and is responding to the left input I dialled in Doh!
So my latest musing is that the heli batt must only be connected with the heli level and she must not be moved a whisker whilst the Gyro is still initialising. Remaining issue of Gyro not correcting for rapid changes in collective still continues - a quick climb will always come with a built-in left yaw - Damn its hard enough to fly these tricky little beasts without extra unwanted inputs :arggg: Nevermind, I had 10 mins of great fun today trying to hold her in a hover with powerful blustery turbulance hitting every few seconds - she was all over the place like a plastic bag on a piece of string. One gust would beat her down and backwards then the next would throw her straight up eight feet, all while trying to keep a set amount of left tail held in manually -yeah!!!!!! :D
Another new development! Sunday 28 May - The tail motor has seized up! Feels all graunchy and gritty, hard to turn. Maybe it was on its way out for some time. I've only flown it for 9 hours, thats not long. Must have been a bad motor. Anyhow, she piro'd into the dirt and so I also need a tail rotor and the gear/axel assy :( Oh well, keep trying - I love this hobby........... Rick
