Hello,

Would it be ok to use the Kontronic jive 80HV on the 550 running just a 6s setup? Originally i was looking to get the Jive 100 but can no longer find one in stock.

I was hoping if the jive 80 would be ok it would mean i could try 8s further down the line if i wanted.

Thanks

Are there any advantages on the jive 80 over the CC85hv?? I am waiting on my kit and need to decide on an esc. I am going to run the outrage 3700 8s1p and the century 600+ because I already have one.

I have no experience with it on 6s but I am running the Jive on 8s on my 550. I data logged mine with the eagle tree logger and just flying around it pulls around 35amps constant and flying 3d the highest spike I got was 85amps. I think it would be ok for 6s as well. I would however recommend putting a heat sink on it if you get one.

It fits very nicely inside the frames and mine comes down after a 4 1/2 - 5 min flight around 75 degrees.

You can see the pictures of how I mounted mine in this thread.
