i was able to hover for about half a tank, and then when i landed the engine died. i tried to restart, but nothing happened. first thought was the one way valve, but that was not the cause. then i thought that maybe the rf shield was the cause, but i disconnected it, and still nothing. i checked for spark, one is present, but it seems weak, but i'm still learning, and by no means an expert. now when i try to start i get about one to two seconds of run time, and then it dies. if i try to restart after the engine dies it will pop. i'm running 4oz of lawnboy ashless with camper fuel. the engine is a 231.

thank you,
jason

Enusre that there is nothing around the ignition.

-If you have a shield installed make sure that it is not grounding.
-Check the flywheel to see if there are any metal shavings on the magnet or within the gap.
-If you are using a kill switch remove it (it is not needed) and ensure that the black kill wire cannot touch anything that would ground out the ignition.

after further inspection, i found a thick film of oil on the intake side of the carb. also the wire going into the cable from the coil was not making good contact. fixed both of these, and the heli fired on the third pull. hovered for half a tank with no problems.
