Where is everybody? I hope you are all too busy flying and don't have time to post, but I'm stuck here at my desk and I'm getting lonely!

Like Sara says, been nice weather (mostly) fun flys, and not much time to surf. Hope all are well.

Hey Sara...yeah...I am alive...I was on a 2 week business trip and then the past 2 weekends I have been to events in Jacksonville, FL and Chattanooga, TN...this weekend is our Local event. the next weekend I will be in Georgia at a fixed wing Warbird event (but the turbine will go along) and then the weekend of the 16th I will be in Troy, OH to watch Bobby Watts fly in the XFC...so yeah...been busy! Although for the life of me I can't remember why I needed to call you today...anyway if I do remember ...you will be hearing from me today...

Hope you and the rest of the Wren team are doing fine...

Well, that's a relief! I hoped you were all too busy flying and it seems like I'm right. That's excellent news. Over here, some people may have forgotten how to fly, it's so long since they got the chance .... the weather is still poor.

We had a really rainy and cold spring here as well. Lots of frustrated and unable to fly pilots. Weather is just now getting good in the last week, but it is super hot and humid. Oh well, We will take it as we can get it. Flyable weather is better than non-flyable.

Greg, any progress on the turbo prop?

Greg Alderman

No...except that I got together with a machinist friend and we CNC'ed a motor mount for it...the one that Jack Price designed for QuiQue's YAK wouldn't work for me...

I am completely booked with events (both fixed wing Warbirds and helis the next 3 weekends...but then have a break from events (well as far as I know right now, I am sure something will come up that I want to go to!) from 17 June to 21 July...

SOOOOO...hopefully I will get the Turbo Prop completed and in the air during that time...There doesn't seem to be enough hrs in the day now, I mean , geez...I was up until 2am last night working on projects! I can't even imagine being married with children and trying to find time to get anything done!!!

Guys, the Wren team would love to come over for a BBQ and a drink. It's just so darn FAR! Our Australian team are the same, they keep telling me that they've got a "barbie" on the go and the beer's on ice. Wish they'd hurry up and invent the teleporter "Beam me over, Scotty" so that we could visit for a weekend without a day's flying each way. Maybe I'll take you all up on the offers one day ....
