Bob,

I think your videos are extremely well done. Would you do one for beginners on some basic orientation skills, like nose-in hover, left/right side-in hover and visual orientation when the heli is high over head?

Thanks again.

I already did a video like that. It's a sim video but explains how to start. It's in the list of vidoes on the first post.

Okay, I thought I looked through them already, but I'll look again. I was thinking of orientation when the heli is, say, side-in, and you move it laterally away and back while keeping it stable forward and backward. Stuff like that.

Also, are there any techniques for orienting yourself when the heli is high over-head? It's difficult to tell if it's level or leaning in a roll or pitch orientation.

Thanks for all your work.

Thank you for the vids. Man for the first time last nite my rolls look like rolls. Not some corkscrew BS.. Clear down to earth instruction.. Thanks again, I cant wait to fly this weekend and show off my new killer rolls.. I may even bust out a stationary flip.

Ha... I can do SOME of those but not all.... If you need a training video for those advanced maneuvers then your not ready to do them yet.... Not trying to pick on you but make sure you have SLOW, CONTROLLED, ALL orientations down first... If you do then I doubt seriously you would be asking me for those WAY advanced manuevers....

well, all i can do now is flip and invert, roll, rather bored with these moves. i just need to know about the timing on those control. coz i tried to do the rainbow thing, its ok when i go +ve, but then when i -ve from it, it doesn't go nicely, instead it drop just down. haha. anyway, thanks in advance, waiting for ur video. m sure lots of ppl are waiting for it.

Hey bob what motor were you using in the loop vid?

Finless

STOCK baby.... 430XL and 13T pinion and a good battery (FP Evolite 2500 which was fairly new)!

Learning to use collective and power is an ART. You can make even an under powered heli look good. Not saying I have skillz or anything but people ALWAYS ask me what motor I am running when I fly as my heli looks like it has huge power.... Collective management and use of stored energy is a key...

bob, i always here ppl saying about collective management, care to explain in short what it means?

Finless

THAT would be a video in of itself and even then hard to show. Bottom line it's feeling what the heli can DO and using the stored energy of movement and using collective in a way that you don't BOG but you make it look like you have plenty of power.
MANY go for more power to stop bogging but learning your helis FEEL and it's limitations and flying within them can be very rewarding AND make you look good :YeaBaby:

Only stick time can teach you that!

Hey Bob, how about a video that shows transition between normal (blades up) and inverted during forward flight. I notice in your field test vids you do this alot when you fly out normal and will flip (with piro sometimes) to come back in inverted, nose first. I envy that move. :YeaBaby:

Hmmm actually in retrospect.... A LOT of people have asked me how to do that move...

You got me man... I will do a video this weekend about how it works any how to do it... COUNT on it :)

Stay tuned.....................................
