Just curious! I working on all orientations before trying inverted

For backwards upright coordinated turns, you'll find moving the sticks in OPPOSITE directions is a good little trick to keep in mind until the movements become natural.

Lead with T/R in the direction you want to turn and as Al said, coordinate opposite roll cyclic from there.

Sim time, Sim time, Sim time. Eventually it will come more naturally. Large slow circuits at first helped me, but then again, I'm still no expert by no means.

Hi All,
Since it's raining AGAIN!! I've but in some serious sim time. Thank all for the tips, leading with T/R helped a ton. I've got things going pretty well with the sim. I'm doing pretty well with real low and slow circuits. If I get to high, I seem to get disoriented.
practice, practice, practice! If the sun ever comes out, I can try it for real.
Thanks All!
Cheers,
Leslie

first off, sim, sim, sim... but when you are ready to try it for real, try flying out tail in and then back and stop in a hover still tail in, then try it from the left or right. when I first started flying backwards I found it fairly easy to bring it to me, but passing myself and going from tail in to nose in was tough. I started by just flying from the left or right and stopping or doing a piro before it got to me, eventually I started flying full circuits backwards. Although its all the same to me now, I found inverted backwards easier to learn than upright...but thats another story

Hi arron,
I guess that is what threw me. Becasue of the rain, I'm pretty much sim-ing it. I can fly all over place inverted. But when I concentrated on flying backwards, I was surprised at how tough it is.
I have a good habit of really trying to work on the things that seem tough. I makes real flight much better.
On the sim, I'm showing improvement with slow circuits. Progress is good :arggg:
cheers,
