which one is better evo 50 ccpm vs hpm?

Neither. I have both. They both have pros and cons. If you just HAVE to have a CCPM heli, the EVO SWM flies fine. It does have a little interaction, but I've got most of it mixed out. The collective is very strong and responsive, too. BUT, in my humble opinion, the HPM has a better "feel". Rolls are more axial and cyclic repsonse is crisper and more linear.

They both have roughly equal parts counts, so there is no advantage for the SWM version. Although I haven't actually counted the bellcranks and pushrods, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that the SWM has more linkages than the HPM.

The actual difference between them is very subtle and you'd just have to decide which trade-offs you're willing to make. Stronger collective, or more linear cyclic response?

And for what it's worth, both helis have good digital servos. The HPM has JR DS8311's and the SWM has JR DS8231's.

The jury is still out on this... :)

I have several friends that swear by the Hirobo mechanical (a.k.a. HPM) mixing to be superior as do many more too, but there are heaps of people singing the praise of the CCPM version (a.k.a. SWM) too.

You have to fly them back to back to tell any difference to be honest.

This is the only way I could tell. And the difference is so minor, that lots of other variables such as equipment choices can make a more significant difference. Each of mine has different blades and servos. That alone is probably enough to make more of a difference than the control system. The HPM has a NiMH battery and the SWM has a Li-Ion, so the weight is different, too.

Set up is quicker and easier with the standard mix and you don't have to mess with programing out any control interaction. I don't see any advantage to going ccpm on this heli. Collective authority is awesome with a 9252 or better servo.

I can say with absolute certainty that the SWM version will not handle rolls lower than half the diameter of the rotor disk.

I have only had the SWM and not the HPM, and the SWM is decent. I had to do a bit of funageling with the travel on each servo to get the swash to move evenly, but I am starting to become convinced that this is a necessary evil with CCPM.

Either way the sceadu is a rockin' heli.

Ivan I hope your not basing your opinion (or Fact) on one test. Please retest using the same variables and see if it nets the same results

Well, I have done more research, and there is something in some kindo of laws in a state called "physics" that says that two objects (rotor blade and dirt) can not occupy the same dinensional space at teh same time.

go figure.

The politicians in the state of "physics" won't ever get my vote, if they keep making laws like that!!!!! :arggg:
