Tempest w/3d head vs Stratus what is the difference other then fuel tank mount location and obviously the engine location. Is it worth modifying the tempest w/3d head to the stratus upgrade? Kinda confused which one is better. opinions please. I am sure there are other posts on this, but I am going crazy trying to figure out what kit is better. I have a tempest fai w/3d head and figuring if that is old school compared to the new stratus, but yet they are selling both still at fairly similiar price.

it really boils down to how aggressively you want to fly. The stratus is much lighter and will respond quicker.

Doent Upgrade till you brake the frames of you Tempest... Isnt realy worth it exept if you want to be uptodate and a couple of houndred bucks "lighter" than with your Tempest ;)

Is the tempest alittle more stable overall then due to the weight? For mellow 3d flying? That is about all I do. I like the best, but dont need hardcore 3d.. So I Assume the Tempest due to weight is alittle more stable but still capable of good 3d.
Thanks for the responses

Yeah, if you are just enjoying a lazy type of 3D, stay with the tempest.
the added weight makes it penetrate wind much better too..
