Hi, I'm fed up with myself keep complaining about my Twister heli :?
Anyway it turns out its a Blade CP re-packaged for the UK market.
Yes, its squirrely. Yes, its a pig to fly. Yes, the tail often acts like there's no gyro. Yes, the motors burn out. Yes, to a hundred other reasons to hate it, But yesterday evening it was dead, smoke rises vertically, calm.
And - the sun was out, bonus! Anyhow - I took my Twister/Blade CP whatever thing into the front garden and had a great time. In fact I've had to spend so much time flying in blustery British bloody turbulance lately that I didn't realise that my general heli handling skills had improved as a result. So I was hovering easily at 12 feet up and 20 feet away. I managed several tail only turns and I'm using the collective a lot now to make small adjustments - like we have to with cyclic. So I tried to hover just touching the top of our rose bushes, but she sank in and leaves and petals went everywhere :lol: (that made the wife start tapping her stilettos furiously - hands on hips). Then I decided to buzz my 12 year old, who ran for it and tripped over as I went over his head, so I turned around and had another go at him as he ran to hide in the car- we both nearly collapsed with laughter and I had to land to recover my composure. I tried to land on our car roof, but she slid off sideways, was it luck or skill that made me give a burst of collective and full right cyclic as she went down the side of the car, anyhow she righted and went straight up - phew! After 1/2 hour and two lipos I quit while I was ahead, but had a great time just larking about - and no damage - amazing :D
