Hi all,
Was out yesterday tying a version of DJ's front mount. I have it installed on a Raptor 70. It is still showing some vibrations but it's getting better as I work on it.
The pic was shot on 1/250 sec and is still a little blurry. Will test again today and see if I've fixed it...

That's a great shot. Good composure w/lots of visual interest. I like the color choice too! That one belongs on a wall somewhere.
Ship me one when you have a spare :D

Thank's for the nice comments :D
I'm just finished modifying the mount, and from the look of the test video the next picture should come out even better.
When shooting this one the camera was exposed to quite alot vibration through the mount. This should nearly be eliminated now.

How about a pic of the mount and your mods?
I'm liking the look of DJ's new swingarm front mount. Been looking at my Intrepid to see if it will work there.

Mark: I'll post a pic of the mount tomorrow in what I believe will be the final version. Funny you should mention your intrepid, Ihave an EB myself and I think it would be great if I could make the same kind of mount work on that one.
The front mount is just sooo much better to fly than an underslung one...
In the mean time; Here's a new shot from the old saw-mill with a few mods to the mount. I think it looks a little crisper than the old one...

you better believe it my friend!
The feeling I get when I fly front mount is nothing compared to flying the underslung. You feel so much more in command and you can maneuver the ship effortlessly and without worry of slinging the mount around... not to mention the HUGE weight savings also.
Anyone who has ever flown an underslung mount and then flies a front mount will never go back.
I'd love to see some pics of your mount. I may be able to help you eliminate the vibes you are getting... although I don't see them in the picture. That picture looks fantastic!

Just from a composition standpoint, I prefer the 1st pic. Has much more visual interest. Looks like something you'd see on a how-to photography book. Kudos to you, terje!

Hi DJ,
I'll post some pics tomorrow, when it's finished.
When shooting the last picture it was attached to the heli the exact same way as yours. Exept for the horizontal dampers up front. On mine there is a pair of bungees instead, simply because I had no dampers available. -Now however, I suddenly have 8 T-Maxx dampers in my hands :D
Will get it done tonight and test tomorrow.
Thanks for your kind words on the picture :)

Mark,
Thanks :D
-And when looking at them I agree with you. It's just that I feel the last one is a bit crisper...
But now the mount is working, I could allways go back and reshoot.

Mark:
sorry there's been no pick of the mount yet, but I'm still struggling a bit with vibes. Don't know for sure, but I'm quiet sure it's because I haven't been able to get neoprene mounts to use at the rear. Had to go with rubber, and that's no good. Am thinking my way around it and will post a pic once it's done
It's just that I have too little time on my hands, so the days tends to pass me a bit too fast...
