O.K. For those that missed it I’ve posted pics in my gallery.. We had a great time, the MHA pilots were laying’ some serious SMAK.... One of the Fredericksburg heli pilots commented “I didn’t know helicopters could fly like that”
Take the show prize goes to MHAs very own Chuckie.. Charles TREX was playing hide & seek in the deep grass. In & out, in & out, in & oh’ oh didn’t make it out that time :badair:
It’s TREX baby, unclog the grass caught up in the tail and off it went again. Sample pic below, more in my gallery..
I had a great time, hats off to Magnumeng for organizing this and inviting us down.
Oh yeah, I did a flip or two… :banana

I had a great time on a great field! It was real easy to fly there. The best moment for me was when I was being a bit of a prick (as usual) and asked a planker what "that thing" (plane) was doing here at a helicopter event?
He looked up and said "It takes skill to fly one of those"
I laughed and said "Yeah O.K."
Then about 20 minutes later Charles (Chuckie) was busting off a a killer display of a hurricane with a little v-blade pop in it about 3 foot off the ground and I walked over and said, "You think he is almost ready to try and fly a plane?"
He was just sitting there
Me
Oh yeah, I did a flip or two… :banana
Show off!
Good job man :glasses:

Thanks Chad also thanks to the Fed club members for hosting a great day. The weather was perfect and the field was awesome. I had fun getting to know and hanging out with some local VA/MD flyers.
Thanks Dan for the pics and video. Glad to hear your keeping those plankers in line. Dennis was flying his Rapter 90 up high and a planker was hovering right in front of our flight station, I thought, hey aren't these machines remotely controlled :bomb: I asked Dennis to take that thang out  He just laughed.
Half-Time Clay what can I say?
Two TRex crashes in 5 minutes. That's a new record for me.
Good move Frank, next you'll be hoving inverted. :fly
Greg, 48 hours and not one kiss? You've been flying helis too long. :hammer
I'm sure the turn out would be even higher if you guys arranged for two days but consider adding Friday as well. That way anyone traveling from far out of town can come early, get two and a half days flying, and then leave noon Sunday. Let the plank flyers have the field Sunday afternoon after 3.
See you all at the next event.

Naw... I took the best of your 3 flights and turned it into one video although you last flight, where I did not have a camera in-hand, was most impressive.

I'm still going to kick you for not filming his flight at Clintstone's. That flight was just SICK!

I still don't know what I was thinking when I made that flight versus all my flights yesterday. I guess you need to be in the grove to hammer out a fast and furious flight. :bs
Whoops I guess someone else is supposed to use this emoticon.

I have put all the "good" moves you did into one flight (video online tonight) the diamond loops were not as crisp as at Clints but you had some other hot flying in there. Maybe the plankers flying around messed you up

Yea, make this a Friday/Saturday event, and Sunday the planksters can have the field all to themselves after 3:00 PM or if you feel generous 2:00 PM on Sunday!
Are there any hotels close by, or can we sleep in the club house?
Anyway, good job and great to see you guys.

Wayne,
There are a couple hotels close by, about 5 - 10 miles or so.. Sleeping in the club house has already been ruled out when we started building it. But if you have a tent or RV, we are working them details out with the land owner.
