YES!! I finally got the mars back in the air today. She was down for about a month with ESC problems. Will post pics later. I see no one has posted in here in a while... any gazaur freaks out there....?

I love to fly the Gazaur helis - I have the HK-2221-6 on mine and it flies like a rocket.
I also picked up a new Gazaur 55A ESC on "the bay" recently for a mere $10 - that's a bargain.

Damn that is a good deal! Hobby Lobby has dirt cheap parts right now but no main shafts, feathering shafts or blades etc..parts that break in a crash. I've got a lingo 7 and a Jeti 44
LOVE flying this heli!

I just go to Mars480 for any parts I need that aren't at Hobby Lobby - they are friendly and ship FAST. I've been itching for one of the black C/F Mars helis at Mars480.

Likewise... Mars480..... awesome shipping too. I don't know of any other sources for gazaur parts...
Just got a clear canopy from HL. It's pretty lame...flimsy poor quality plastic compared to the stock one, but neat to see the guts with it on.

HL has old stock, the new clear canopies has improved. It is stronger then old stock. There are also blue and red canopies.

Hobby Lobby is no longer carrying Gazaur product.
Other then Mar480.com, we STASVC.com is also carrying Gazaur parts and heli.

Sweet, thanks for the tip.
Stock blades say not to exceed 2400 rpm but I am at 2200 at 65-70% throttle. Do I need better blades to go in idle-up? If so any recommendations?

The concern is the weight of stock blades are too heavy. You have to watch the speed once it is too fast, the feather shaft will not able to hold it. Upgrade to metal blade holder will also help on extreme fly performance.

Here is a excel sheet for you to find the best speed to match any type of blades.
http://www.stasvc.com/images/RPM_calculator.xls
any green cell can be changed and will update other cell to provide needed information
Usually the Drag co-eff is about 85% for wood blades, and higher for carbon/fiber blades 90%. Play around with the number you will find a good speed/throttle for your setup.
"Max(Kg) centrifugal" should always under 60Kg is best, and never over 65kg.

If you want to save money, try the 325mm wood blades. They are lighter and will provide faster response/performance.

Radix has 350mm carbon. They are current best blades to fit Gazaur. If you extend the tail boom and upgrade to 4 cells. You can even use SAB 385mm carbon blades. It is super stable but you got to watch the speed and need a higher rating ESC.

Sepoinak,
Just zoom up your Mars' picture. Did you remove the cover of the flybar paddle, do not leave it uncovered. That will reduce the stability of the heli. Any tape will work, as long as it is covered. Even duck tape will work.. :lolol since it is heavier. It will even more stable.. :cheers

Ah sweet! thanks for the tips! I used to have the stickers on the flybar paddles but took them off... I guess I'll put'um back on! Thanks again!
