The price for that combo is so alluring, $570 and you just need a receiver and battery. Anyone know what the quality will be like on the servos/gyro?

Thanks for posting the video and nice flying. Awesome!
One thing I found with new batteries, the TP 30C 2250 is the strongest pack I have and also the one Bert was using in the video. My V1 450 with scorp -8 motor is near as impressive, the extra space in the head on the Pro helps to give even more pop/response. Slight edge over the V1 & V2, but not by much. The TP battery makes all the difference, it just has more power during the flight. Put one of my old FP 2170 25C packs on it and it wouldn't impress anyone.
I don't know what they did different on the new TP packs but they are stronger.
I do want a new 450Pro.
I guess I'm one of the few that likes the new canopy. I've seen it up close and I like it. Also saw it fly at my local field. It's either this or the Rave from Curtis.

I like the canopy too, much prefer it to the standard 450 align canopy.

Great! Congratulation!
What HS do you fly there in the videos?
Will the tail work also when you fly it with lower HS?

Any way we can get our hands on the manual?

Bert nice work. I love the new design, now if I could just get someone to buy one of my se's....Are both kits going to be available at time of purchase? or will their only be limited quantites of one, kind of like when the 250 was released. Just want to know if I need to put mine on B.O. now or if I can wait and hope its in stock when I can afford one.

I don't have a manual myself because I haven't received a production version unit yet, mine is a prototype with no manual. I hope someone will scan a manual out of a kit and post it here for download.
I think kits started to arrive at hobby shops this week, very limited quantities and only the "Super Combo" version for now. I'm sure it will take a while before the regular combo version makes it to the shops.
I'm sure in a couple of months there will be plenty of them in stock.

Well it sounds like I need to go order mine tommorow to make sure I get it.
Bert - Do you know when the new torque tube tail conversion will be availible or is it also out now that the new 450 is out? I seen it on alignrcusa.com and wow I need one of those for my SE's that I have now.
Thanks

Not sure when the TT conversion will be released. I'm sure it will be within the next few days, maybe a couple of weeks. It all depends on how quickly distributors get them and ship them to dealers. The best thing to do is to get a hold of a dealer you know and ask them to back order one for you.

Bert,
I said I was going to wait but I couldn't. Got my 450 pro today. It looks like the boom's are the same from the V2 to V3.
I heard a few 450 pro's were crashed in Vegas, how many of the gears got damaged in the torque tube? Is it typically one gear that goes or more than one? Any word on when the distributors will receive parts?

I'll try to remember to take my manual to work tomorrow to scan it. Who will host it?

The canopy of the old 450 fits the Pro, but looks ugly as hell. It would work if you guys don't care about looks LOL.
The only parts that can be used from the old 450 are the boom and the main gear, I think that's it. Only one 450 crashed in Vegas and it was mine, hardly any damage; landing gear, boom, main shaft and spindle shaft. No gears broke, but I was quick on the throttle hold :)

And what about these "new" skids http://www.align.com.tw/shop/product_info.php?products_id=2664 they do have an extra hole in the middle, will they fit?

Yes, those are designed to work on all 450's.

Bert, how is the esc holding up heat wise using the internal bec, and how is the tail doing at 6v? not sure if it needs to be stepped down or not??
Bert Kammerer

ESC is always cool after flights, the motor runs very hot, but it is normal for this motor. No issues with the tail, I'm running 100% stock tail gyro and servo without issues and no step down either.

this is what i was thinking about a lot lately.... after getting into marketing all these motors, escs, gyros and servos id figure Align would be on to something with the flybarless market.
