Hi All,
Here in New Hampshire we got another 4 inches of rain, on top of the other eight we got. Spring has really been a bummer.
On the bright side, I spent four days on the sim working on backward flight (thanks for all tips everyone).
The sun came out today (thanks for the head's up AV8TOR) and out I went for five batteries worth. Wow, the sim really made a difference!! I did not really get into backward flight, trimed out one rebuilt trex but the control was great. I had her whipping all over the place, with much better control. Totally thrilled!!!!
Cheers,
Leslie

My family is from the Connecticut area, they are for the most part still there and are getting some of the rain that you are.....
My sister has the same name as you......plus the spelling is the same....a connection. Helis are cool, my son wants to fly when he gets grown up....We went to an amusement park this week end, (he is five) and he rode the helicopter ride....he loved it...
Hope the rain stops soon......

Hi Robin,
Scarey, I'm originally from Connecticut! Where abouts is your family from? Anyway, I'm trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear with this rain.... it's working... well sort of.
Cheers,
Leslie

I hear people say that sims are helpful for hovering. I can already hover so should i still get the sim? will it help with ff, side in hover?

Hi mhouse974,
yes, yes and yes! I use the sim for all that and more. flying backwards, inverted etc. It really helps with learning orientation especially inverted!

Leslie

Look at it this way: if you crash in a sim you press the reset button. If you crash in real life you spend a lot of time and $$$ :arggg: You can practice every maneuver in a sim. With the Great Planes Real Flight sim’s you can modify the models to feel exactly like your heli so you don’t loose any realism :!:
