Helirook decided that I was hovering good, and had good control over the heli so the training wheels came off and she was in the air. I got a little frieked out, but it went good. No crashes yet, well on my part, helirook sent her into the wall, but no damage was done luckily. Now I am starting to see why the blade cx is a good starter, that little thing can handle quite a bit!!!!

Thank you!! You should take them off, well once you are comftorable hovering and landing. I wasn't to excited to take mine off but was told that they hurt you more than help you once you can hover...... and it is more fun this way lol. I have found that I concentrate a LOT more now that I know there is nothing to save me if I land it wrong or turn it wierd.

I do love helis!! We are already talking about getting me a rex soon! I am super excited, yet scared at the same time. The controls on those are way more touchy, and more spendy to crash it lol.

Hi Flippychick,
I found using the flybar weights supplied with my SE kit and dialing in some expo on my radio really tamed the trex down.
Properly sizing the ball links made a hugh difference, the bird was real twitch with tight ball links, they should be sized to work smoothly.
The size and sound of the trex was intimidating at first but it's actually easier to fly then my smaller birds.
cheers,
Leslie

sigh, I did good today, concentrating on landing on all four balls. I think the training wheels will come off soon. There is a flyin to night that I may loose them for, this way I can crash infront of a crowd and not by myself... lol
dunno yet....

Helirook broke a blade. lol. He was doing some cool stuff and crashed her into the table and broke a blade. Funny thing is that it still flies!! lol. I was ticked at first, but now I think that it is funny, they are cheap and I am still shocked that it is flying so well with a broken blade!

Okayso I chicken'ed out. I did however do side hovering. It was able to do them barely....I would get her up into a stable tail in hover (which was great because there was hardly any wind and I could almost hover her hands off!) then slowly move the nose to one side then the other. All the while talking myself through the controls. If she shifts towars me which way to move the sticks to get her back into that hover.
I was very proud of myself. I will be cutting the gear backtoday though. I landed hard twice last night (glictches due to being inside a HUGE Metal building) and my strapping job needs to be redone.
You ladies give me hope that I soon will loose the wheels!

Way to go Jetgirl..............congrats!! Don't worry about the "training wheels" you'll eventually get them off...............so won't we! (A bit more cost effective with 2 helis in the air.)
