3100kv motor sputtering

My Esky 3100 motor was running fine after a minor crash. Only damage was feathering shaft and main blades, which I replaced. Motor ran fine and then it started sputtering. I don’t know if it’s the motor, ESC, or battery.

HBK2 Upgrades:
Esky 3100kv motor
Esky 25a ESC
Stock battery
Xtreme 43T pulley
B400 main gear

Can anyone help???

I'm going to get in trouble for this... but what the hey!!!

The problem in two components you have on the heli... The 3100 motor is a KNOWN problem motor in that it does stutter and is weak... ESky actually pulled it out of production from the last I heard... The other is the esc... The ESky 25Aesc is also another well known trouble spot... weak and prone to fires...

You should buy either the 3800 or 3900Kv motor from ESky or something like the 3500Kv motor from Mystery... all good motors... The 3800 has more power than the 3900 motor...

You should have a minimum30A esc for the K2 if you want more trouble free flying... Also if you want better and often cheaper components try and stay away from ESky components... Its a crap shoot with them being you may get a good set, crappy set and anything inbetween... their quality control is very poor... For esc's... Mystery is another brand you may want to avoid... I've had two brand new ones go funky and I have friends in other forums that have experienced the same things...

I'm going to get in trouble for this... but what the hey!!!
Not this time! The Esky 3100Kv motor and 25A ESC combination is bad. I bought the combo set and stripped out a main gear with the stuttering.

I prefer the 3900Kv and ANY 30-35A ESC that is not Esky.
