i have the 550 on 8s with 890 kv motor....

i want to buy a bunch of packs and thinking of the zippy h 6s 5000

if i go to 6s what motor is the best setup?

how much different then 8s 4200 pack with the 890 vs 6s with motor recommended?

i dont want flight time to go down and power preferably not to reduce...

thoughts?

I only have experience of my setup, but I use zippy-H lipos and love them! I'm using the 4020-1390 on an HV85. My HS is somewhere between 2050 and 2100, I've had it tacked by two different clubmates and that was the variation(:confused:), anyway, I have my timer set to 6-30, my flying style I would describe as hard sport flying. Usually putting back 3700 to 3900 ish, depends how quickly I obey my timer, with this heli its easy to pretend you haven't heard it!!!

I'm using Rhino Zippy 4900mah 6's 20c. Flight timer set at 9 mins, RPM 1900 to 2050, After flight balance 3.81v per cell and put in 3400mah. Compare to Flightpower 5000mah 6's 25c flight timer set at 9 mins, after flight balance 3.83v per cell and put in 3250mah. Flying style low height circuit. For your info Flightmax 5000mah 6's 30c and 25c are good and cheap too but it is temporarily out of stock.

Have you tried Flightmax and Rhino? A few friends of mine asked me not to waste $$$ on Zippy-H 5000mah 6's 20-30c because the punch will not be as good as Rhino after 40 flights.

what do i need if i get the 1390 pinion?

i think i may go that way...save my 2 8s packs for trex 600 with the 4025 and go 4020 on the outrage with 6s

I'm using 11T, governed on the HV85 with no probs (Gov. High). It's a close call, theoretically I think you're supposed to use a 12T for correct gearing for the CC gov. Without gov. on heli fixed endpoint it's about 2300 at the start.
