Main shaft confusion ??

guys i order some main shaft from helidirect twice. These shaft all have the groove goes all around. But in my first order, the groove and 2 ends have a black color metal. My second order, the whole entire shaft has only the alluminum kinda look. Both bags have the same part number. I wonder is there a difference between these 2. So confuse right now.

They are effectively the same, just make sure you use the ones with the grooves all the way around. I have some of the first few hard shafts and they had a darker colour in the groove.

yeah the darker color ones look like those of Align harden shafts which is $11 for a package of 2. I have the Outrage G5 main shaft with the groove goes all the way around. it's just that the color difference makes me feel like these are regular unharden ones.

All right guys, here is what i found out. Eventhough these main shafts have the same part number on Helidirect the one with the darker color groove is much harder than the one has silver color groove. These 2 types are exactly identical except for the darker metal color of the groove. Two of 15ish feet crashes with the dark color groove, the shaft is ok, usable (broken canopy, broken skid, bent feather shaft, ect). Not acounting other minor crashes. After running out of these, i use the silver color groove main shaft, a drop from 4 feet hover bent it. Visually bent...... The darker ones were initially manufactured to replace the faulty mainshaft that caused the exploded head on G5. The silver groove ones were made later. it seems like they went cheap with the re-manufacture, lower quality material.
