Hi all, just got Reflex XTR. Installed without problem, but it acts like there is no Tx and yes the Futaba 9c Tx is in PPM. The error message says turn on Tx even though its already connected and on. Sometimes it also says USB interface device not recogniosed (or words to that effect). Device manager in Windows XP says the USB Dongle is working properly. Its just XTR that can't see it. Now, here's the weird bit - if I close reflex and disconnect the dongle for the USB slot then open Reflex and then plug the dongle back in it sometimes sees it and starts to work (so I know the application software is ok). Anyone got any ideas as to why I can't just leave the dongle connected and expect Reflex to see it when the programme is started? I have tried re-installing the software and turning the Tx on and off and pulling the cable out and reconnecting it.......

Ii have XTR and the Futaba 9C. I used to run into that same message from trime to time, it turned out I had a game on my machine that whenever I used it, Reflex wouldn't see the transmitter until I'd reboot the computer. I never figured out why, but if I ran that game, Reflex simply wouldn't see the TX until I'd reboot.

I haven't used the game in a long time, but I remember going nuts til I realized where the problem was coming from.

Maybe you're running into something similar? In my case the game was a little shareware racing game called "Generally"

Well I do have a couple of games on my pc, but none that have been played prior to trying to start XTR. I did once have a mobile phone pc software with a dongle that did this same trick - its infuriating. XTR has started up a few times now (out of many attempts) and when its working I am amazed at the realism not just of the scenery, but the appearance and more importantly the handling/behavoir of the aircraft, truly awsome. Any noobs out there who have not experienced this incredible simulator should really give it a try, not only could it save you expensive crashes, but its great to use when its too windy or raining. I can fly planks reasonably well and I was thrilled at the fixed wing simulator, spins, reversals, stall turns, inverted all looked and felt just so real - in fact don't bother buying models or paying club fees, just get this (tongue in-cheek). Get a copy of EndItAll, and run prior to running XTR. If another program is causing you problems, this should take care of the problem. If it doesn't then you probably have a different problem.
