Has anyone remoted the coil on spectra G ? I fyes can you post a pic. I installed the 125-110 and the 125-114 NGK cap but the turn where it comes out of the cap is a sharp bend and a stretch, kinda makes you think it can come apart. They state in the instructions to remote coil if the wire is not long enought and provide a few standoffs and bolts. They are not long enough to make it through the main bottom plate so I am wondering where a good location to remote would be.

go to an Ace hardware and get a couple of longer bolts. If you have the engine mounted facing backwards, there are two holes drilled in the bottom plate specifically to relocate the coil. It mounts on top of the bottm plate just at the edge of the fan shroud

If you have the engine mounted forward, because the frame is angled in, there is not yet a std location.

I have my motor mounted forward facing. I mounted the coil under the plate in front near the switch, nope no problems so far. I just drilled two holes through the bottom plate and mounted the coil. The coil does look like it is low to the ground, but this has not been an issue.

There are holes in the bottom plate for remote mounting the coil for the rearward facing set-up, just use longer screws. The coil would mount on top of the plate.

For forward a facing motor set-up, I drilled two holes through the bottom plate and mounted the coil on the underside of the plate near the switch. No, there was no problems with the coil being close to the switch or the ground! :D

You may have to lengthen the "red" primary-to-secondary wire so that the bullet will plug together dependent on where you move the coil.

Thats kinda what I thought but the screws threw me, made me think that was not the right spot, I mean after all why include screws if they are wrong so I figured I would double check before I started drilling

Thanks
