My sim is making a terrible static like sound, very hard to concentrate without getting a headache or shutting off the speakers! Anybody know why or how to change this? (Using a DX6, makes the noise even when radio is unplugged)

I think it's the 2.4gHz. When my cell phone rings (actually right before it rings), my realflight G3 lets out the same kind of static. so I'm betting it's the tx. if there was a way to turn off the signal transmission (as in remove the crystal on a 72mHz unit) I'll bet it would work. What happens if you press the bind button?

It is impossible that the 2.4ghz interferes with your system as the transmitting unit is switched off with the plug in the trainer jack.

Is the sound continuous or crackling?

Possible solutions to check would be if you have any virtual speaker emulation as "3D" sound turned on. Also try to mute any unused in and outputs of your sound card.

If it would be crackling then the buffer size for your soundcard may not be suffinciently, on some cards you can adjust that.

Also check if you have the newest drivers for the card installed.

Another thing to look for is your sound setup in the control panel, try different devices under the audio tab.

One more thing would be the direct x setup, you can test direct sound compatability there as well.

Enigma. you can find a Cheap 4CH trainer Futaba. it works fine with reflex. or if you have $60 buy 6EX PCM.

For some odd reason it quit making the noise. I think i changed the microphone volume and that took care of it.
