What would the differences be if I was to use a r149 with the 12z instead of the G3?

Only difference is the 149 doesn't support the faster G3 framerate and has less channels. Other than that, depending on what servos you use, you're flying style and skill, you probably will not notice any difference.

What I was really trying to understand was can you still change what channel on the 149 does what like you can on the G3 RX or whatever? Like CCPM might be 3 4 and 7 or somethin instead of 1,2 and 6 so it works better or whatever, I saw something where it like worked better using different channels or something. Id be using 9451's and I fly hard 3D, well I try to. Would I still be able to use all the features of the radio like whatever that thing is where it makes the CCPM perfect just like an mCCPM heli? I cant think too straight.... just shot some clear on a canopy without a mask. :dontknow

Yes Chris the Swash menu works the same no matter what receiver you use.
I am running 319's with mine as well as the G3.

So the only thing id be losing is the G3 resolution/speed and maybe a few channels on the RX, though id be able to get ahold of the CCPM interaction with the 12z's swash menu.

You don't lose any speed, the latency stays the same, but there is less resolution. In 1024 PCM the servo has 1024 available positions to hold, and in 2048 is has 2048 positions that it can hold.

Resolution difference will equate to what would seem like a speed difference. The difference between 1024 and 2048 is that the 2048 is like 60% better than 1024.
You will definitely be able to see and feel a difference.

Would I feel a difference using the same 149dp RX i was using on PCM over what it was with my 9CHP?
The best way I can explain my question is....
Will I have all the features of the 12Z radio EXCEPT the 2048 resolution and the extra channels of the G3 receiver?

Should. Don't see why you wouldn't.
You are asking about channel assignment/function, swash menu, etc etc?
All should be available regardless of receiver, just not the 2048 and channels.

You will feel a difference due to the smoother gimbals employed on the 12Z; everything will be smoother and more sensitive. You will definitely have all the 12Z features available except those alread mentioned due to Rx limitations.
