Recent unemployment and other circumstances have forced me to sell my Intrepid 50.
The only thing separating this Intrepid 50 from any of the other Intrepid glow models is the frame. This 50 has the all-aluminum control system, torque tube tail and tail gearbox, and even the 90-degree (i.e., better) tail blade grips! This machine is currently built with a non-driven tail, but I'm including all the driven tail parts as well (see below).
Along with the basic machine, this sale includes a set of 85mm V-Paddles, 2 sets of lower frame plates (50-size), a spare horizontal fin and vertical fin, a set of fins for night flying, an extra tail pitch bellcrank, extra washout arms, extra tail hub, extra pitch slider, extra tail blade grips, cooling fan with collets, an assortment of tail booms, torque tubes, and tail pushrods, and even a driven tail conversion! (Driven tail conversion includes the crown gear and main gear hubs, and a longer mainshaft. You will need to replace the actual crown gear itself... has a few teeth missing.)
Also included (but not pictured) is a trimmed and drilled unpainted fiberglass canopy. It's not pictured because I originally sent it off to a friend for painting, but he hasn't painted it yet.
To build a new Intrepid 50 with all of the aluminum, torque tube, and driven tail stuff would cost you about $1100 (or a little more). The extra stuff I have for it would run you another several hundred. Basically, you'd spend somewhere around $1400 (give or take a few) to duplicate everything in the sale.
I'm asking $850 shipped to the continental U.S.. Please, I'm not interested in any "horse trading". I don't even like having to sell it, but right now, I can't find any work, and I have to think of my family first.
Malorie Zastrow and Chris Bergen can attest to the condition of the machine, as they have both seen it fly, and Malorie herself has flown it on a few occasions. Suffice it to say, it's not all beat to death. You're getting a good deal on it!
Interested parties please PM me.
