Default frame upgrades

I have been having problems with the tail boom slipping, servo slop etc.

Are these CNC frames worth the money?

Any others recommened?

MOST IMPORTANT, If I get the CNC frame, can I just put everything on it or is there other stuff I'll need to buy besides the new frame?

THANKS FOR EVERYONES HELP SO FAR!!!!

I wouldn't bother unless you have money to burn or you destroy the stock frame.

The stock plastic composite frame is actually very strong and is fully functional.

The weak point is the landing strut mounting tabs, but they're easy to fix and I've done a small mod to make the tabs stronger. Just a small piece of aluminum JB Welded to the bottom, works for me.

JMO.

do you have the 4 screws in the frame that hold the boom in tight?
if so people have made out of a servo boom mount an extra clamp.
slide it up againts the main frame and tighten it up.

the best part of the nef frames is bearings in a solid mount
and holding the tail a lil better

but no gain in performance

i have a few cnc frames and they are nice for the reasons solkal mentioned...i cant say it hold the boom any better than the stock one..on a side note, the carbon boom does hold a lot better than the aluminum...but it also snaps with any amount of contact with pretty much anything..i love the carbon boom just not when ya crash =)

My last wreck wouldn't let go of the tailboom either but it was due to deformation of the opening of the tube where the alignment slit flares out when side load is imposed on the boom
