Looking for either the Extreme head or the Tempest 3d head if anyone has one laying around.

Information on where to procure said item(s) is also welcome.

You need a complete head, or parts??
I have a head block, and grips w/o bearings, old style flybar carrier, etc. as spares.

Clay,
If you want to convert the FAI head to the 3D head. The parts can be obtained to do that. Not sure how inexpensive it will be.

Here is what you will need

(2) 123-24 pitch arms Rick's RC $22.71 each
(1) 126-06 New style Tempest head flybar carrier. Rick's RC $58.34
(1) 123-13 CNC Bell Mixer Kit Rick's RC $31.40
(2) 122-18 Spacer, this is used to extend the ball on the flybar control arm. Rick's RC $8.14 for two. But you should already have these with the FAI. They are the negative delta spacers.

So for a total $135.40 , you can convert the FAI head to a 3D head

You would also need the links from the swash plate to bell mixers.
And from washout base to fly bar arms. The links you have already will probably work from washout base to fly bar arms. You would just need the long links from swash to bell mixer.

I'd like to keep the FAI head intact until I'm ready. It is a nice head, but I think for now I'd be more suited to something a bit more simplistic :)

Is it feasible just to swap the head out or am I just pipe dreaming?
