I currently have a Logo 10 and 20. I feel like I am progressing pretty well but there are few E-Heli pilots where I fly. Would I benefit from getting an engine powered heli? If so, which one?

Two good 30 size choices are the Century Hawk Sport and the Thunder Tiger Raptor 30. The Raptor is about $100 more than the Hawk in cost and maybe built a little better.

Two good 50 size machines are the Raptor 50 and Evo 50. The Raven 50 might be another good choice. I have flown the Raptor 50 and it is one fine machine. I think that may be my next bird, myself.

Have fun and get a nitro bird !!!!

I have owned Century Hawk and Raptor copters. The century Hawk is a nice little machine and a joy to fly and is cheaper than the Raptor. However, the Raptor is a bit tougher than the hawk, and if you are still learning and banging them up from time to time, the Raptor is cheaper to fix. The raptor has a driven tail which makes it easier to controll during an auto. The hawk does do a great auto and is still a nice copter. With that said, If you are enjoying this hobby and plan on continuing, I recommend the Raptor 50 V2. The R50 V2 is an extremely versatile machine. It will cost you a bit more initially but will serve you through a wider range of your learning curve. We have several guys in our club flying the R50 and flying ability ranges from hovering tail in to extreme 3D. The repair costs are similar to the 30 and it comes with a set of woodies and TT carbon blades in the kit.

Keep in mind that this is just my opinion. I have seen a great number of helis in the air and there are other machines that fly great, so I recommend talking to other heli enthusiast especially those in your area. They can be of great assistance to you in your endeavors into the this hobby.

If you do decide to go NITRO there will be alot more to clean up at the end of the day. Besides they have much more POWER over the E-helis. If you are Progressing that quickly you might want to consider a larger machine they fly and Auto much better than the 30 size machines. Just depends on your budget and what the local HS carriers for parts. If you have to MO all your parts than it realy wont matter.

I have a complete RTF Century Predator SE F/S here. It would make a great second machine for you. If it's within your budget to fly such a machine.
