Default scorpion with align 75 amp esc

I read that some you guys are using the stock esc 75 amp with the scorpion 890 kv motor. Im currently converting my 600 to 8s and I have some 6s bats and I know this motor can work for both. I will eventually go with the 85hv esc but need to do it over time because of funds. Will it work while im saving for the 85hv or is to risky?

You can read my post "Got converted to 8s" where you can find some FDR graphs and other info. In short, I'm running Align 75A with 8s for over 70 flights - no issues whatsoever. Just make sure you are using high throttle curve, this will make life easier for ESC.

it might work well for the 8s packs, but my 75A align esc, and 6S packs, which worked like a charm for >100 flights wit the 600L motor, really did not like it when I changed to the scorpion HK-3026-1400KV. It was getting close to 100degC, so I had to upgrade to the CC HV-85.

take care

What was your pinion and throttle curve? Cause mine 75A ESC gets lukewarm at the most driving -890 motor with 14teeth pinion (2150rpm) at 100-95-100 throttle curve.

you were running the 3026 on a 600? thats the 500 motor. the 4025 is the motor targeted at 600's.

yep I agree. this motor was not designed for the 600. this was before the 4025 came out. Worked quite well though, until the bearings failed. The reason I thought it was intersting data in this context was that the

3026-1400 1680W @80 A

4025-890 2380W @85A

I can only say that my experience was that the align 75A esc was not up to the task, but who knows,
maybe it was the last flight without the front bearing in the 600L that did it in.

take care
