I dont see much in the forums about this heli so I thought Id start this.
For those of you who have them give us you thoughts, details, mods, pics or what ever else & lets see what we come up with. I'm pretty new to helis & this was my first nitro & would like to see what everyone else has done with theres.

Stock with Toki 40 - over 150 flights - Great heli !!
Not much on forums because there has been no problems for people to go onto forums to get solutions for.

Thats a good thought there Rav50. They are great little helis. I dont think you can get a much better bargin to learn on.

For me, it's not a Hawk but a Falcon SE. It's looks like pretty the same mechanics. Very à good heli. I have mine for 1 year. Over 200 flight with some beginning 3D and no part break...
I love my Falcon!!!

I just put one together last week. Did it a little different because I had a left over OS 50 (non-hyper) and a set of 570 Rotortech cabon fiber blades. I built it with the thrust bearing upgrade (figured the 50 WOULD spin the 570's), and anti rotation link, the 14 tooth pinion, and a set of 3D paddles. Man...it's a HOT ROD. I like it! :cool:

Excellent! I'd like to do one like that myself. Did you use the stock tail boom or a longer one. I have another kit coming that I was thinking about making into a 50 size.

The only things I changed was the engine and mount, pinion gear, added the upgrades and blades, and that is it. The boom and eveything else is stock. I wanted to keep it 30 size as I have other 50's with Hypers.

Will this help in autos? I want something to auto a little better than the 30 size to learn on & I havent got the cahoonas to try it with my Fury yet, other than a few feet off the ground, to much $$$$ to bang up learning.

Yes, the 570 mm blades auto much better than the stock 550 mm woodies. It autos almost as good as my 50 size with 600's.

I am using the 570 blades with the Toki 40, it has no problem swinging a 9/9 curve and a loves to auto.

I miss my Hawks.. They are tough birds. Tail drive wire issues aside I like 'em pretty good.
Maybe I'll get another one.

I got mine up and flyin' tonight. It's working great after a few minor set-backs. I had the elev servo fail on the first flight!! It was a brand new JRDS537...just quit! Made for an interesting few moments...good thing I was only hovering and could set it down quickly! No broken parts! :mrgreen:
After sorting through some gyro and tracking issues with some MUCH APPRECIATED help from SteveH it seems to be working great! I like it. :glasses2:

After some serious jawjacking with Shoopy. I am a newbie Hawk PRo owner. I like the heli. Easy to assemble. Couple misprints in the manual and might be a little hard for a complete newbie to get setup but well worht the time.
Check out the for sale ads for my recently replaced Venture 30. :glasses:

Hawk pro with toki 40, futaba 3151 digis. Cheap Cheap, and it can run all day long. You will find yourself doing things you would never try with a $1000 heli, hehe the Hawk will do it all.

You guys with the Toki what kind of pipe / muffler you runnung? Thinking about trading in the OS32 because the sluggish-ness is about to drive me up the wall :arggg: I bought a Curtis Muscle Pipe to try & still not happy & I hate to buy another one to fit a 50. Centurys site says the Toki accepts any exhaust that fits the 30 size engines so if I can get the 40 & use the CMP I allready have would be great.
Anyone using the Muscle Pipe on the Toki :?:

I cannot see why the Toki would not work well with the Curtis unit. I am running two Toki's now, one with the Toki muffler (ideal) and the other with the K&S unit that was formally on the OS37H (much more power then its' smaller OS32 sibling). The Toki outpowers the OS37 on either muffler.

I just picked up a Hawk with an OS37 this week. I hope to be able to fly it for the first time tomorrow. I'm using a Futaba 9Z TX, a GY401 gyro, S3010 servos on elevator aileron and collective pitch, High Tech HS625 servos on rudder and throttle. Are there any tip or tricks anyone can recommend for setting up my new bird?
Whats the most powerful engine you could put on a hawk pro? ~30 size os37?

Bun, the OS 37 is pretty peppy allready. If your looking for more power I hear the muscle pipe works good on this motor.
I have a question. I know there is a 50 size conversion for the Hawk. But what about using a OS 37 in a Falcon or Raven? I landed my Hawk a little hard and had a boom strike. Wadded that sucker up good. Initial repair estimate is over $140. I was thinking about just buying another whole Hawk. Then I got to thinking about one of Century's 50 size birds. But can I use my 37 in them?

A fellow flyer of mine has the 37 with the muscle pipe on his & it beats the pants off my 32 with the same pipe
sorry to ask, but whats a muscle pipe? Also do you need a different fuel pump regulator if you go for a os37, than a os32? Also how much does a muscle pipe cost. :arggg:
